last night ian and i went to "emo the musical" which was funny and silly and featured a lot of cute boys and girls wearing glasses and tight pants ... and a big disgusting asteriod! the costume was so huge and gloopy and lopsided! "oh no! we're all gonna die! save conor oberst!" hahahahaha i loved it. back at ian's, we watched several episodes of "peep show" <3 oh i love how terribly awkward those boys are!
today i slept in late... played rock band... then took muni downtown.. wandered... had the most FREAKIN' DELICIOUS slice of pepperoni pizza of my life at this one place @ the corner of sutter and taylor. it was so rich and cheesy and the dough was so good.. mmmm. i even ate it with a knife & fork because it was soooooo good, it required class. then i went to washington square and walked around for a while. i walked past a school where a spirit squad / marching band group was doing a routine and chanting, and i went to a video game shop and bought GTA 4 so i can shoot up some bitches! (i'm a classy gangsta! but mostly sassy)
then went to the sf moma! it is half-price on thursday nights, only $3.50 for students! it was really really cool, they had an interactive area where you can look at pretty books and make furniture out of cardboard or do other art projects, people were drinking free beer and being creative, haha. they are showing a film and exhibit for 1000 Journals, a project of sharing 1000 journals around the world. (the project began in san francisco!) many journals are still out there somewhere... but a few journals are at the sf moma and you can add to them and touch the pages of people's souls... i added a couple of things to journal #872. it was really moving especially after seeing the film and knowing that so many people have been involved.. the journal i wrote in had art and stories from people in finland, brazil, so many places. anyway, you local folks should come see it, the film will be shown on the following thursday evenings (February 5th, March 5th, and April 2nd).... info for worldwide screenings is here
i've been experiencing little lovely bits of reality all the time lately. observing life around me. other people's conversations. people smoking pot in their cars in the grungy area where i work. the sparkle of glittering pavement under my feet as i leave the sf moma. the warmth of holding hands in a taxi on a grey rainy night while i'm watching the city through a window. good karma when i let a guy on muni use my phone.. later, a guy riding a golf cart through campus asked if i wanted a ride, and he drove me to my apartment. public transportation has been good to me lately. three times today i came to the muni stop exactly on time for the bus i needed, i love when that happens!
